We intend to support the current netCDF for Java software, and have
already written other software layered on top of it (as have others),
so backward compatibility is an important consideration for any future
changes. However, we reserve the right to fix bugs, and in particular
to correct bugs in the interfaces or documentation.

The RMI interfaces in netCDF for Java were added most recently and
have undergone the least amount of testing, so it's possible changes
may be required in that area if bugs are uncovered by more use ...

I'm curious how Bristol-Myers Squibb is making use of netCDF. If it
doesn't give anything away, could you let us know what sort of
application you're finding for the software? Thanks.
