Thanks for answering that Mac question on the netcdfgroup mailing list and
making your Mac libraries available.

I'd like to keep our information on Mac ports in the netCDF Frequently Asked
Questions list, at
    
    http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/netcdf/faq.html#mac
    
up-to-date.

Currently, it points to some by now probably out-of date information that
you supplied on how to build netCDF for Macs:

    Is netCDF available for the Apple Macintosh? 

    Unidata doesn't test or maintain a version of netCDF for Macintoshes,
    but see the files in the directory
    ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/contrib/mac for some contributed
    notes and Macintosh MPW makefiles for porting netCDF to an Apple
    Macintosh.

I'd like to replace this with a pointer to your new version that would
instead say something like:

    Is netCDF available for the Apple Macintosh? 

    Unidata doesn't test or maintain a version of netCDF for Macintoshes,
    but Chuck Denham (USGS) has ported and made available a version of the
    netCDF libraries for Macs.

    You can fetch cdflib.o and xdrlib.o for PowerMac via anonymous FTP from
    the directory ftp://crusty.er.usgs.gov/incoming/netcdf-mac/. The format
    is MacBinary II.

    If you are a Matlab user, try using the mexcdf function developed at
    USGS, which you can pick up by following the mexcdf link from Chuck's
    homepage at http://priapus.er.usgs.gov. You may be able to get libraries
    for PowerMac and Mac68K there as well.

Is that wording OK with you?  If not, can you suggest a satisfactory
re-wording?
