We have the following possibly relevant patches installed;

101242-10 libC 4.0.1 (C++): Shared library Jumbo patch
101907-05 SunOS 5.4: Jumbo patch to volume management
101925-02 SunOS 5.4: header file fixes
101945-27 SunOS 5.4: jumbo patch for kernel
102007-01 SunOS 5.4: vnode v_count is not maintained correctly
102020-07 SunOS 5.4: asynchronous I/O and sd fixes
102070-01    SunOS 5.4: Bugfix for rpcbind/portmapper
102216-01 SunOS 5.4: NFS client starts using unreserved UDP port numbers

Do you have this problem on local disk (non-nfs)? Also, do you have
other platform(s) on which you can run this same test?
