IT Specialist, Space Weather Prediction Center

NOAA is searching for a an IT Specialist to work at the National Weather Service (NWS), National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP), Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC), Administrative and Technical Support Branch (ATSB) in Boulder, CO.

The IT Specialist will:

• Provide system administration for all Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) datacenter and enterprise architecture hardware and software, including Linux, VMARE, and associated computer and software systems.
• Capitalize on scientific and technological advances by recommending and executing improvements to the SWPC enterprise architecture.
• Provide technical and subject matter expertise in support of SWPC project plans.
