Physical Scientist, Environmental Modeling Center

NOAA is searching for a Physical Scientist (Development) to work at the National Weather Service (NWS), National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP), Environmental Modeling Center (EMC) in College Park, MD.

A Physical Scientist:

• Independently develops Earth system model components (atmosphere, ocean, sea-ice, waves, land-hydrology), and data assimilation systems in numerical models.
• Performs data analysis, verification, and validation of numerical models.
• Leads project management activities associated with model development projects.
• Presents scientific work related to model development activities.
