This week we are going to look at modifying the Cities Map resource by constraining the population based on information in the database. This work will be accomplished by modifying the specific bundle file using the Localization Perspective in CAVE.
Unidata offers grants to support a variety of projects
Unidata is happy to announce the Community Equipment Award recipients for 2023. Created under the sponsorship of the National Science Foundation, Unidata equipment awards are intended to encourage new members from diverse disciplinary backgrounds in the geosciences to join the Unidata community, and to encourage existing members to continue their active participation, enhancing the community process.
Welcome back to AWIPS Tips! This week we have an exciting update about python-awips! We are proud to officially announce a beta version 20 of python-awips that is compatible with our beta EDEX server (edex-beta.unidata.ucar.edu). This version of python-awips is available for download as a source code installation.
Version 5.1.8 of the netCDF Operators (NCO) has been released. NCO is an Open Source package that consists of a dozen standalone, command-line programs that take netCDF files as input, then operate (e.g., derive new data, average, print, hyperslab, manipulate metadata) and output the results to screen or files in text, binary, or netCDF formats.
The fifth NOAA AI Workshop on Leveraging Artificial Intelligence in Environmental Sciences will be held September 19–21, 2023 as a virtual gathering coordinated by the NOAA Center for Artificial Intelligence.
