Ghansham's stupendous efficiency enhancements:  Detection logic in doTransform
for reusing geometry and image color bytes.  For example, change to image
color enhancement with fixed projection reuses geometry branch graph
while updating color values in memory and visa-versa.

Add signatures for dumpType and dumpTypes to include a
ByteArrayOutputStream because some system apparently throws
away all system.out.printlns...
