Hi,

     It has occurred to me that a colored wireframe may work and eliminate
the rendering. The problem is that I am away and don't have my VisAD notes.
I can't seem to make a wireframe except by using:

      gmc.setPolygonMode(1);

which shows the rendering polygons, and not the x-y grid. It seems to me I
figured this out once but can't remember what I did. So, how do you display
(x,y) -> z data as a 3D  wireframe surface?  Thanks,

        -Ken
