Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
Today I have released VisBio v2.00, a biological visualization tool designed for easy visualization and analysis of multidimensional image data. VisBio uses VisAD and is open source. Some of its main features include fast animation of image stacks, arbitrary image slicing, rendering 3D semi-transparent volumes, and performing measurements in 3D. New to v2.00 is a redesigned architecture that allows import and export of image data of any dimensionality (including dimensions other than space and time).
