Hi- I've run into a problem using the clipping with Java3D 1.3b1. A program and associated data files that exibits this behavior is at: ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/dmurray/clip.jar The problem is as follows: 1) If I have clipping on and the VisAD box visibile while zooming in, the box and associated data view in the box get larger as expected. 2) If I have clipping on and turn the VisAD box off and then zoom, the view only gets larger inside the area where the box was when I turned it off (i.e. the non-visible box area does not get any bigger). (This is best exihited by zooming out so the box outline is small before turning it off). 3) One more interesting note is that if I add a ConstantMap to the example and put the map at the top of the display (1.0 on the Z Axis), if I zoom in so I go through the map (i.e. break the 1.0 Z plane) and zoom in a little more, then I loose all clipping and the is really shown if I zoom back out. If I turn the box back on, then I get clipping again. This is not a problem with Java3D 1.2.1 Don ************************************************************* Don Murray UCAR Unidata Program dmurray@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx P.O.
