Re: parallel coordinates?

Hi Adele,

> Has anyone done parallel coordinate plots in VisAD?

I was about to tell you that it wouldn't be too difficult,
but decided that a parallel coordinate example would be useful
so whipped up the attached example. In VisAD data for a parallel
coordinate display would typically be a FlatField with MathType:

  (index -> (coord1, coord2, ..., coordN))

The main() method of the attached Parallel.java example creates
such a FlatField with random values, then passes it and a
DisplayImpl to the parallel() method, which constructs a FieldImpl
with MathType:

  (index -> Set(coordinate, value))

that generates a rudimentary parallel coordianate display for
the original FlatField, in the DisplayImpl. This could be
prettied up.

Cheers,
Bill
