Hi All-

The latest release of the VisAD package has been enhanced to take
advantage of the recent additions to the ucar.netcdf package which allow
reading of a netCDF file from a URL.  You can now access a netCDF file
via a URL in the VisAD SpreadSheet, using the load() function in the
Jython interface, or using the visad.data.netcdf.Plain.open() method.
