I am actively working on several, related things in a jmet system. While
I had started work to convert the code I had for drawing the WMO symbols
from an instructional applet I had from last summer, I have put that
aside for a while to work on an application for displaying NCEP model
data from netCDF files.

I plan to get back to this work early this Summer, since I want to have
the ability to plot in situ data in traditional formats, overlaid on
other fields/images. It's a few weeks' worth of converting 'drawLine()'
method calls into something else. If you're anxious to get started, I
can give you the Java source code for the station model plotting
excerise ;-)
