Hi Allan, We are very interested in working with you in your JSky effort. There are already some astronomy applications using VisAD. The VisAD web page features the "Collaborative Galaxy Designer", which is distributed with VisAD in the visad/benjamin directory. VisAD supports a very wide variety of ways to visualize data, including interactive and virtual reality displays. By the way, you probably want to address your messages to visad-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx rather than visad-list-digest.
