Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
Hi there, I have looked through quite a bit of the VisAD documentation, but still can't see quite how to go about a simple geographical mapping type task. How, for example, would I write a VisAD application that shows a coastline map of a given region and displays some numerical data such as contours or wind barbs over the top? How do I actually get the coastline data displayed and how, for example, do I convert from lat/long coords to data coords. I wonder if someone could help me out with a snippet of code, or at least point me in the right direction...
