Re: [thredds] TDS, OpenDAP and BUFR

Hi Antonio,

It still fails, although there's no helpful message this time.

The ISO service can read the file happily enough so I don't think there's a
problem with the content or the IOSP. Is there a way to get more information
out of the threddsServlet rather than just a 403 message?

Many thanks,
Sheila

Sheila,

It's supposed to work. Are you getting same error if you are accessing to:
http://mdbapx99-zvtsap95:8080/thredds/dodsC/sampleData/bufr/GETBUFR.data.001.html

using your browser? (note that I have replaced the last .dds by a .html)

Hi,

I'm checking out the possibilities of serving BUFR data via OpenDAP from TDS
4.3.21.
The IOSP can handle the file locally in ToolsUI (see below) but I'm getting
this error from OpenDAP:

"Error on setThreddsDatatype = java.io.IOException:
opendap.dap.DAP2Exception:opendap.dap.DAP2Exception:Method failed:HTTP/1.1 403
Forbidden on URL =
http://mdbapx99-zvtsap95:8080/thredds/dodsC/sampleData/bufr/GETBUFR.data.001.dds";

This is just one of many different BUFR files I have and I understand I may
encounter problems with local Table B entries, but I thought OpenDAP could cope
with any files the IOSP could read. Is there more to it than that?

Kind regards,
Sheila
