Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
Hi Jon,NCEP model data (NAM, GFS, WRF) are all freely available, though I don't believe we can send it to certain countries such as Iran, North Korea, and a few others. Some data is proprietary, such as lightening strike data, ACARS, and probably others I don't know off hand. I believe you should be fine reusing the sample data currently going out with the TDS.

Hi THREDDS folks, This question has probably been asked before, but what is the licence for redistribution of the sample NetCDF data that are packaged with THREDDS? I ask because the ncWMS software will be distributed with the next OSGeo-Live DVD, and we are looking for sample data that can be distributed on the disk.
