Re: [thredds] Dataset titles in TDS

Hi Guy,

I may be misunderstanding your question, but you should be able to specify a dataset name in your catalog, rather than necessarily relying on information in a netCDF file or group of files. In the <dataset> tag, just make sure you put in:

name="my dataset"

Does this answer your question, or are you looking for something else?

All,

I am trying to find out how TDS obtains the title from a NetCDF dataset. When a single file is used, the title comes from the global "title" attribute. However, I do not know what happens in the case where multiple files make a single dataset. If anyone could shed some light on this for me I would be most grateful.
