Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
After a little more searching, found the documentation reference: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/ncml/v2.2/Aggregation.htmlLooks like global attributes from a Union of NetCDF files would come from the first file.
'All the other variables, dimensions, and attributes are taken from the first file that declares them.'

Hi All,I'm trying to better understand how NCML attributes are populated in an aggregated dataset. For example, is the first netdcdf file used as the 'template' from which global attributes are populated (alternatively perhaps some random sample is used)? This is in the context of generating NCML from an aggregated THREDDs dataset. Thanks, Dave _______________________________________________ thredds mailing list thredds@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFor list information or to unsubscribe, visit: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/mailing_lists/
