Hi Ethan,

thanks a lot. I upgraded to your snapshot, and I'm back to a nice figure
of my data.

While testing some other files, I found a minor bug. I get another
'Internal Server Error'/'Null Poiner Exception' when requesting a layer
which does not exist. This should instead give a xml-error page like
those you get when you forget a parameter. With the same data-file, try

http://localhost:8081/thredds/wms/osisaf/met.no/ice/wam_nsea.fc.20090604.nc?REQUEST=GetMap&LAYERS=nonsense&PALETTE=redblue&SERVICE=WMS&FORMAT=image/png&VERSION=1.3.0&CRS=EPSG:4326&BBOX=-30,-60,30,90&WIDTH=400&HEIGHT=400&STYLES=BOXFILL/ncview

(LAYERS changed from 'significant_wave_height' to 'nonsense')

The logs give:
java.lang.NullPointerException
        at
thredds.server.wms.responses.LayerBasedResponse.<init>(LayerBasedResponse.java:88)
        at thredds.server.wms.responses.WmsGetMap.<init>(WmsGetMap.java:74)
        at
thredds.server.wms.WMSController.handleRequestInternal(WMSController.
java:242)
        at
org.springframework.web.servlet.mvc.AbstractController.handleRequest(
AbstractController.java:153)
...

Best regards,

Heiko
