and Mobile Web Page Through March 19, 2014 NWS is seeking user comments on the Customizable Mapping Widget and Mobile Web Page through March 19, 2014. The NWS Center Weather Services Unit (CWSU) in Fort Worth, TX (ZFW) and the Dallas/Fort Worth Forecast Office (FWD) are testing a new Customizable Mapping Widget and Mobile Web Page service. The service brings together a variety of geospatial data products on the same background map for analysis and decision making. The version of the tool customized for the CWSU is a Google Map- based tool that contains many of the data sets necessary to provide the CWSU with the flexibility to create customized maps in service of the FAA. The customized page will also be evaluated on partner smartphones as the un-embedded version of the same tool functions on a wide range of todays smart phone devices.
