SUBJECT: Six NWS Upper air Stations to Begin Use of Vaisala 
          RS92-NGP Radiosonde with the Radiosonde Replacement
          Systems (RRS) May 1, 2013

Six NWS upper Air sites are scheduled to transition from the
GPS Lockheed Martin Mark IIA radiosonde to the GPS Vaisala
RS92-NGP radiosonde on or about May 1, 2013.

No missed obervations are expected to occur during the equipment
transition.  The WMO Radiosonde Identification Code for the
Vaisala RS92-NGP is 52.
