Subject: Wireless Emergency Alerts Rollout Date Revised

Amended to move start date to on or shortly after June 27, 2012.
At that time, NWS will pass through alerts from the Federal
Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Integrated Public Alert and
Warning System (IPAWS) to the Commercial Mobile Alert System.
This system is also known as Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA).
The rollout date was revised in order to resolve a connectivity
issue between NWS and FEMA.

carriers, see
