          EFFECTIVE MAY 15 2006

BASED ON USER FEEDBACK A NUMBER OF TROPICAL CYCLONE
PROBABILISTIC PRODUCTS CHANGES ARE EFFECTIVE MAY 15 2006.

THE FOLLOWING EXPERIMENTAL PRODUCTS WILL TRANSITION TO
OPERATIONAL PRODUCTS EFFECTIVE MAY 15 2006:

1.  PROBABILISTIC SURFACE WIND SPEED TEXT PRODUCTS FOR THE
ATLANTIC...EASTERN PACIFIC...AND CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE
BASINS WERE EXPERIMENTAL IN 2005.  THE FOLLOWING PRODUCTS BECOME
OPERATIONAL ON MAY 15 2006.

BASIS IN 2005.  THE PRODUCTS BECOME OPERATIONAL ON MAY 15 2006
AND WILL BE DISPLAYED ON THE NHC WEB SITE AT /USE LOWER CASE
LETTERS/:

THE FOLLOWING OPERATIONAL PRODUCT WILL BE DISCONTINUED EFFECTIVE
MAY 15 2006:

THE NHC WEBSITE WILL NO LONGER DISPLAY THE ATLANTIC BASIN TEXT
STRIKE PROBABILITY PRODUCT AS OF MAY 15 2006. THE FOLLOWING TEXT
STRIKE PROBABILITY PRODUCTS WILL BE DISCONTINUED.

TEXT STRIKE PROBABILITY PRODUCTS ARE NOT ISSUED FOR THE

THE FOLLOWING EXPERIMENTAL PRODUCTS WILL BE DISCONTINUED
EFFECTIVE MAY 15 2006:

1.  THE EXPERIMENTAL ATLANTIC BASIN GRAPHICAL STRIKE PROBABILITY
PRODUCT WILL NO LONGER BE DISPLAYED ON THE NHC WEB SITE AS OF
MAY 15 2006. EXPERIMENTAL GRAPHICAL STRIKE PROBABILITY PRODUCTS
WERE NOT PREVIOUSLY ISSUED FOR THE EASTERN...CENTRAL...AND
WESTERN PACIFIC HURRICANE BASINS.

2.  THE NHC WEB SITE WILL NO LONGER DISPLAY THE EXPERIMENTAL
ATLANTIC AND EASTERN PACIFIC HURRICANE BASIN WIND SPEED FORECAST
AND PROBABILITY CHARTS AS OF MAY 15 2006. USERS SHOULD CONSULT
THE APPLICABLE BASIN WIND SPEED PROBABILITY PRODUCTS. THIS
EXPERIMENTAL PRODUCT WAS NOT PREVIOUSLY ISSUED FOR THE CENTRAL
AND WESTERN PACIFIC HURRICANE BASINS.
