NOTE: The nws-changes mailing list is no longer active. The list archives are made available for historical reasons.

Problem: Due to a switch of the SP nodes for the ingestors at the World Weather Building in Camp Springs, Md. in response to a previous problem with the PON (Primary Optical Network), some users were unable
to capture West data.

List of West data affected by SP node switch is as follows:

Image data : FDSK for 1800Z and 2100Z, PACU 2045Z, 2215Z and 2245Z, NHEM 2030Z, 2130Z and 2230Z, SHEM 2052Z, 2222Z and 2252Z. Primary and backup remap data 1800Z thru 2300Z. Image ASOS 2324Z,
Image DPI 2300Z.

Other data affected : SNDR data 2001Z thru 2301Z, Sounder ASOS 2301Z - 0033Z, GSIP 2300Z, Sounder DPI 2224Z, 2301Z and 2324Z, GOES West HMS 2052Z thru 2352Z, GOES West ABBA XFRs 2230Z, 2300Z, 2330Z and 0000Z, Volcano sectors for 2230Z, and the CSBT both East and West : East 1745Z thru 2345Z and West 2000Z thru 0000Z

Resolution: System Admin's switched the SP nodes back to their original configuration. More investigation will be done during dayshift as to why some users could not capture the data.
