Details:

This message updates previously issued messages in August and September
regarding an identifier change to several satellite text products.
Delays until now were related to a minor, but important, issue in
transmitting the data to some foreign users. Note that both sets of
files have been disseminated for several months.

In reference to
http://WWW.NWS.NOAA.GOV/dm-cgi-bin/chgshow.pl?fn=NESDIS20904.txt and
http://WWW.NWS.NOAA.GOV/dm-cgi-bin/chgshow.pl?fn=NESDIS1.txt (also found
at http://WWW.NWS.NOAA.GOV/datamgmt/notices.shtml ) the communication
identifier for the TCUS (ASOS Satellite Cloud Products) and TW (High
Density Wind) bulletins as products by the Satellite Services Division
will changes identifiers from KWBC to KNES to properly reflect the
identifying organization.

Currently, both sets of bulletins are being disseminated to the FOS and
GTS users for parallel testing and operation.
Effective December 16, 2003 at 1600Z, the KWBC bulletins will be
terminated, leaving only the KNES bulletins for use.
