ON SATURDAY JULY 1 2000...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CONUS
FORECAST OFFICES WILL BEGIN ISSUING THE DAILY CLIMATOLOGICAL
REPORT /CLI/ PRODUCT /CCCCLIXXX... CDUS4I CCCC/ IN A NATIONAL
STANDARDIZED FORMAT. THE ALASKA AND PACIFIC REGION OFFICES WILL BEGIN
ISSUING THIS FORMAT SEPTEMBER 6 2000. THIS FORMAT WILL CONTAIN ALL OF
THE INFORMATION CURRENTLY INCLUDED IN THE CLI...BUT IN A STANDARD
FORMAT.

THE CLI WILL BE ISSUED A LEAST TWICE DAILY...IN THE EARLY MORNING
/AFTER MIDNIGHT AND BEFORE MORNING LOCAL NEWSCAST...DATA FOR THE
PREVIOUS DAY/...AND LATE AFTERNOON /BEFORE MAJOR LOCAL NEWSCAST
TIMES...DATA SO FAR FOR THE CURRENT DAY/. INTERMEDIATE REPORTS
MAY ALSO BE ISSUED AT LOCALLY AGREED UPON TIMES.

NO COMMUNICATIONS CHANGES ARE REQUIRED TO RECEIVE THE DAILY
CLIMATE PRODUCT IN THE NEW FORMAT.
