THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TELECOMMUNICATION GATEWAY HAS
IMPLEMENTED  MESSAGE SEGMENTATION FOR ALPHANUMERIC PRODUCTS
EXCEEDING 3 800 CHARACTERS ORIGINATED BY OR RELAYED THROUGH
OUR SYSTEM.  THE MESSAGE SEGMENTATION BEGAIN 1600 UTC...
OCTOBER 10  1996.  THIS
LENGTH INCLUDES ALL MESSAGE FUNCTIONS SUCH AS START-OF-
MESSAGE  START-OF-TEXT  END-OF-TEXT  AND END-OF-MESSAGE
SIGNALS.

THIS IMPLEMENTATION WILL RESULT IN THE BBB FORM PXX OF THE
WMO ABBREVIATED HEADING BEING USED.  THE FIRST PART OF A
MULTIPART MESSAGE WILL BE PAA  PART TWO WILL BE PAB  AND SO
ON.  THE FINAL PART OF A MULTIPART MESSAGE WILL BE SIGNIFIED
AS PZB.  /REFERENCE   WMO NO. 386  MANUAL ON THE GLOBAL
TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM/.
