...CORRECTED FOR ENDING TIME OF POWER OUTAGE, CORRECTED STATE INFO
IN #2, AND FURTHER INFO IN #4...

The National Severe Storms Forecast Center (NSSFC) will experience
a planned electrical power outage from 6:00 p.m. CST on November 29
to 2:00 a.m. on November 30. There is some flexibility in the
schedule such that if significant adverse weather were going on, a
24 hour postponement could be arranged.

During the outage the following NSSFC products and programs will
be impacted:

1. SEVERE WEATHER WATCHES, OUTLOOKS, STATUS MESSAGES AND
DISCUSSION: Backup products will be provided by the Air Force
    Global Weather Center.

2. NATIONAL AVIATION WEATHER ADVISORY UNIT PRODUCTS: Area
Forecasts will be suspended. AIRMETS and SIGMETS will be
provided by the responsible Weather Service Forecast Offices
(WSFO) at Sterling, Virginia; Miami, Florida; Chicago,
Illinois; Fort Worth, Texas; Salt Lake City, Utah; and
San Francisco, California. (Convective SIGMETs handled as
    regular SIGMETS.)

International SIGMETs will be handled by the National Hurricane
Center, Miami, Florida and WSFO Honolulu, Hawaii.

3. RADAR CODED MESSAGES: There will be no processing of the
WSR-88D Radar Coded Messages (RCMs) in order to generate the
automated radar observations (ROBs); therefore, the automated
    ROBs will not be available.

4. GOES TAP: No impact.

5. NATIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY: Suspended or transmitted early.

As mentioned at the outset, this is a preliminary notification and
there could be some changes. If necessary, a follow-up or updated
notification message will be sent under this same communication
identifier.

If you have any questions, please call Fred Ostby, Director of
NSSFC, at (816)-426-5922.
