SUBJECT:  MOLINE, ILLINOIS WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE'S SHORT-
          FUSE COUNTY WARNING AREA EXPANDS...EFFECTIVE
          OCTOBER 3, 1994.

Effective Monday October 3, 1994 at 8:00 a.m. Central Daylight
Time, the National Weather Service (NWS) will transfer short-fuse
warning responsibility for 2 counties in northwest Illinois
(Table 1) TO the Moline (MLI), Illinois, Weather Service Office
(WSO) FROM the Rockford (RFD), Illinois, WSO.

For these 2 counties, WSO MLI will issue short-fuse warning
products (Table 2) and related products that give followup
information on the warnings (Table 3).  For holders of NWS
Operations Manual Chapter C-47, County Warning Areas, this
transfer is the 33rd update of the chapter for 1994.

Because of this county warning transfer, subscribers to the NOAA
Weather Wire Service (NWWS) and the Family of Services (FOS) must
take appropriate action to receive the short-fuse warnings and
related products for these 2 counties using the MLI identifier
(Tables 2 and 3) instead of the RFD identifier.  The Universal
Generic Codes (UGC), however, will remain unchanged (as shown in
Table 1).

warning responsibility for 11 counties (Table 1) in Ohio TO the
Weather Service Forecast Office (WSFO) in Pittsburgh (PIT),
Pennsylvania FROM Weather Service Offices (WSO) in Akron (CAK),
Columbus (CMH), and Youngstown (YNG), Ohio.  For these counties,
WSFO PIT will issue short-fuse warning products (Table 2) and
related products that give followup information on the warnings
(Table 3).  For holders of NWS Operations Manual Chapter C-47,
County Warning Areas, this transfer is the 34th update for 1994.

Because of this county warning transfer, subscribers to the NOAA
Weather Wire Service (NWWS) and the Family of Services (FOS) must
take appropriate action to receive the short fuse warnings and
related products for the 11 counties using the PIT identifier
(Tables 2 and 3) instead of the CAK, CMH and YNG identifiers.
