Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
Gilbert,I checked with the NCF and all AWIPS sites are running an EbNo of 6.4 or better.
AWIPS SBN operations are normal at this time. Are you having issues receiving the NOAAPort feed? Thanks, -Jami On 12/20/2010 12:31 PM, Gilbert Sebenste wrote:

And to see what that does to reception, check out: http://www.opennoaaport.net:8025 , or... http://noaaport.admin.niu.edu:8025 anytime tomorrow. Those should be very interesting and telling graphs.I apologize for the double post...go to these sites NOW and see what has happened to the carrier to noise ratio. Something is wrongwith the primary uplink. Signal strength dropped significantly and the most important Carrier to Noise (C/N) ratio dropped significantlyon both Jose Nieves' (first link above) and my receiver (second link). This without even lowering power on SES-1. Is interference causing the signal drop?******************************************************************************* Gilbert Sebenste ******** (My opinions only!) ****** Staff Meteorologist, Northern Illinois University **** E-mail: sebenste@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ***web: http://weather.admin.niu.edu *********************************************************************************
