There are still open issues that will have to wait for a subsequent version for resolution, but with the help of the netCDF community in testing this candidate release, we expect to have a real 4.2 release within a couple of weeks, assuming there are no unexpected show stoppers. We'll send out an announcement and link to the 4.2-rc2 release notes and installation instructions as soon as it's available ...
