Not sure about all the rest, but this bit anyway is probably expected.
The system libs/headers on 10.6 do not support ppc64 (since 10.6 itself
does not support PowerPC).  But don't panic you can still use 10.6 to
build _for_ ppc64.  All you need to do is use the 10.5 SDK, which does
support ppc64.  To do so, pass -isysroot /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.6.sdk
