Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
> Did someone manage to compile udunit on a linux box? I was quite astonished > that linux isn't supported. yes, i agree linux should be elevated to supported status. Particularly because its should be so easy. 1) cp src/port/fortc/sunos.m5 linux.m4 2) i also had to set LD_YACC = /lib/ld_linux.so.1 LD_MATH = -lm although i dont know why configure didnt pick those up. Perhaps my linux is installed in a non-standard way? Also, i couldnt get the perl target to work, so i just disabled it by seting PERL="" . Probably something easy to fix but I didnt have time. While were on the subject of udunits, I would like to make a pitch for improving the documentation, especially around the time conversions. Also, is it my imagination, or is the install significatntly more clumsy than netcdf? Are there any plans for improving the package itself? Nice package, but not easy to use.
