(or anything to help...) In netcdf-2.4-beta6/src/fortran, I copied sunos.me to linux.m4. This worked for me, but I had some problems with gnu-make on Linux and had to install the package "by hand" after compiling. I didn't do any tests beside ftest.f to check if the FORTRAN-jackets work, because I don't use FORTRAN on Linux. Bernward Bretthauer
