Re: [netcdf-java] announce CDM/TDS 4.3.10 alpha release

Hi Phil:

I would use the new GRIB FeatureCollection if possible. Regular aggregation of GRIB files is often full of problems.

Wow, awesome! Thanks John, I would really like to look through your
catalogs. We are pushing very hard to clean up our catalogs here at NCDC
and this would be a great reference.

We have put 4.3.10 on a testing server here and noticed some oddities with
aggregations variables show up that are not part of the aggregation. We
did an aggregation across Time for NARR and removed the other Time1 and
Time2 variables, however, Time2 variables are showing up in our Time

  <remove type="variable"
         name="Temperature_surface" />

When you got to the NetCDF subset service this variable shows up. I could
be doing something incorrectly in the aggregation, but also some variables
have different names from 4.2 to 4.3 also. I may be doing something wrong
in the catalog markup or NcML. Are there changes for 4.2 to 4.3 that I
need to know?

TDS version 4.3.10 is running at Unidata here:

if you would like to try it.

Would you be willing to make the motherlode catalog(s) for this new
version available somewhere?
I think it would be quite useful as examples.

  motherlode catalogs are in github:
