We have completed preliminary testing of HDF4 reading, and all bug fixes are in 
the 4.0.12 release.
We can read the raw data of all the HDF4 files we have tested, but parsing 
HDF-EOS information into
the coordinate systems is ongoing.

If you are interested in HDF4 reading, please test on this version and let us 
know any problems.
Other parts of the code are still unstable and should not be used except for 
testing.
