Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
I've noticed McIDAS's "Supported Platforms" page (http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/mcidas/current/specs.html) states that Fedora Core 5 and 6 are supported OS's. However, RedHat's "Installation Guide" for current versions (http://docs.fedoraproject.org/install-guide), list Fedora Core 6 (and older versions) as obsolete, so it's not receiving regular updates from RedHat.
