just informed that Santos Rodriguez passed away. For those who don't know,
Santos was one of the creators of the EMWIN data feed. He was concerned about
Emergency Managers and others who had little money but desperately needed to
get weather information at a low-cost to the end user, and even today with the
Internet. In fact, over the last 24 hours, NOAAport has gone down twice...but
EMWIN stayed up, and I used that feed today in both cases to keep the data
flowing, until the NOAAport feed came back on.<div
