[ldm-users] NCF Server Ops Switch to Primary NCF Tomorrow

In the event those that don’t know, NCF Central Operations will be switching
server operations from their backup NCF location in WV to their primary NCF
location in MD. During the switch, data will be queued but not transmitted
until switch is complete. This will affect SBN and Data Delivery.

ADM from NCF:

The NCF Server Operations will be switched from the
Backup AWIPS NCF (BNCF) in Fairmont, WV to
the Primary AWIPS NCF (ANCF) in Silver Spring, MD.
The switch back is scheduled for Thursday, September 28
and the switch will take place as follows:
 .

 .
The switch will not be done on a critical weather

All ANCF message distribution (MHS) will be
repointed to the BNCF. The switch will take about
20 minutes. Data will queue while the switch is in
progress and will be sent once the switch is
complete. This will affect data originating at NWS
field offices and National Centers on the AWIPS
network including radar data.
 .
Repointing of operations back to the ANCF will
also take about 20 minutes during which data will
be queued. Queued data will be sent when the
repointing is complete.
