Dave,

I did a notifyme off of idd.unidata.ucar.edu, with your pattern up to, but not
including the VREL section.

notifyme -vl dave.log -h idd.unidata.ucar.edu -f CONDUIT -o 7200 -p
'^data/nccf/com/nam/prod/nam.20....../nam.t..z.awip3d60.tm00.grib2
\!grib2/ncep/NAM_84/#000/20..........F060/'

Then
grep VREL dave.log | grep 300\ hPa
Apr 05 21:48:29 notifyme[814] INFO: 36169 20170405203333.408 CONDUIT 128
data/nccf/com/nam/prod/nam.20170405/nam.t18z.awip3d60.tm00.grib2
!grib2/ncep/NAM_84/#000/201704051800F060/UREL;VREL/300 hPa PRES! 000128

Looks like the UREL and VREL come together somehow.

Hope this helps,
Chris

Subject: [ldm-users] NAM product header changes on CONDUIT?

Last month (on March 19 or so), changes in the contents of the NAM awip3d
analysis and forecast (in GRIB2 format) on the CONDUIT feed exposed a bug in
the WRF Preprocessing System’s (WPS’s) ungrib software, which has been fixed
and made available. However, the header pattern in that product that I used to
trigger my WRF runs seems no longer to work.

I haven’t been able to find documentation about the product patterns for the
NAM in that CONDUIT feed that extend to the level of detail that I might need.
Cann someone direct me to that detailed documentation, or comment on changes to
the header patterns that might have accompanied the changes in the content of
the NAM analysis and forecast last month?

— Dave

P.S.

The header pattern I was using to trigger my WRF runs looks like this:

CONDUIT
^data/nccf/com/nam/prod/nam.20(......)/nam.t(..)z.awip3d(60).tm00.grib2
!grib2/ncep/NAM_84/#000/20(........)..F060/(VREL)/(300 hPa PRES)!

(This is the 300 mb v-component wind in the 60-hour forecast.)
