Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
The Novra S-200 will not work for the new broadcast. D'oh!!! We will be implementing a single data stream that will require variable coding modulation (*VCM*) over multi-protocol encapsulation (*MPE*) which is supported by the Novra S-300 receiver. We understand that one or more other models of DVB-S2 Receivers also may be suitable.
Attached is our DVB-S2 Receiver Specification sheet.(Gilbert's note: see http://weather.admin.niu.edu/s300.pdf for the attachment.)
You will need to upgrade to a receiver that supports VCM (like the Novra *S-300)*. The S-200 does not support VCM!
Thanks, -Jami
