Tyler,
I'm not using PRIMARY and ALTERNATE..I was not aware of their use.
Don't use them. They were rendered obsolete by the addition of the
autoshifting feature in LDM 6.4. Beginning with that version, the
appearance of those keywords in the LDM configuration-file is simply
ignored. Instead, the first entry in the configuration-file for a given
feedtype and pattern will be the initial PRIMARY-mode connection and all
other REQUEST entries with the same feedtype and pattern will initially
result in an ALTERNATE-mode connection. The resultant downstream LDM
processes will then automatically adjust their transfer modes depending
on their success at inserting products into the queue.
If you want a permanent PRIMARY-mode connection, then you have to ensure
that the feedtype and pattern of that REQUEST entry is unique.
