Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
Well, a Physical Plant techie and I went in there at 17:30Z to get the model data of the RAM to get it replaced. Then we noticed that one of the hooks on the right side that seeds the RAM was open, allowing the memory bank to be slightly elevated and possibly not making good contact. We seeded the thing back in there, and the clip is on there tightly now (we checked the other dimms and made sure they were all in snugly; they were). I don't know if that could cause a problem, since I have never had that happen, nor can't imagine how it could happen...but thge LDM has been up and stable for 5 minutes now. ;-) I'll keep you posted. ******************************************************************************* Gilbert Sebenste ******** (My opinions only!) ****** Staff Meteorologist, Northern Illinois University **** E-mail: gilbert@xxxxxxx *** web: http://weather.admin.niu.edu ** Work phone: 815-753-5492 * *******************************************************************************
