Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
Unfortunately at this time of the day everyone is trying to get the Global GFS 1 deg. That means the NCEP ftp servers are hopelessly bogged. I don't know of amy other source unless you know someone with a really big pipe that can suck it all in quickly and early and then let you get it from them. -----Original Message----- Sent: Monday, January 12, 2004 11:36 AM Cc: ldm-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Thanks for the link. I am trying to ftp the data now, but it is extremely slow. under 1KB/sec It appears that the amount of grib fields past 72 hours is minimal. But I guess it's better than nothing. If you know of another source I would appreciate it.
