Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
Are you running Parallels Access by any chance? I've observed this same behavior with IDV 5.0 on my mac (also OSX 10.9.3). After much trial and error I narrowed the problem down to the fact I was running the parallels access utility, installed by default when I installed Parallels. Quitting out of the utility lets me launch the IDV 5.0 normally. Hope this helps! -Ward On Fri, Jun 13, 2014 at 4:42 PM, William Capehart <wjcapehart@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hello All: > > I installed IDV 5.0 on my Mac (OS X 10.9.3) and it seems to be hanging on > startup once the Dashbard and view window are loaded leaving me with the > spinning wait cursor with no relief until I force a quit.
