Wayne- If you just want to change the unit on display, use the Edit->Change Display Unit on the display control and set it to dam (decameters). The 20th Century heights are in meters (m), instead of geopotential meters (gpm) (but Tom didn't know that. ;-)).Or, if you want to make the values be decameters for use in a formula, then you can use Tom's suggestion of writing a formula.

I'm using 20th century reanalysis pressure height data on a daily time scale, specifically 500mb heights (actual dataset name is hgt.1962.nc). The raw units of the data are in meters and I'd like to divide those units by 10 so they are in decameters. I've read the documentation and am having trouble determining how to do that simple operation. I am new to IDV and realize there is a learning curve here. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
