Due to the current gap in continued funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the NSF Unidata Program Center has temporarily paused most operations. See NSF Unidata Pause in Most Operations for details.
Paul -- I don't know of anything off-hand. One issue I see is if there is a fold in the isosurface, a 2D representation is impossible. For example, think of an isosurface of wind speed for, say, the 40kt isosurface -- they would be "tubes" and "bubbles"... tom On Mon, Dec 9, 2013 at 11:47 PM, Paul Graham <meteorpaul@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hi IDV'ers, > > I'm interested to know if there is a way to extract an isosurface from a 3d > gridded field and store it as a 2d grid of isosurface heights for display > or other purposes, using an IDV Jython script? > > Any help is appreciated. > > Thanks, > > Paul > _______________________________________________ > idvusers mailing list > idvusers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > For list information, to unsubscribe, visit: > http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/mailing_lists/ -- Tom Whittaker University of Wisconsin-Madison Space Science & Engineering Center (SSEC) Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS) 1225 W.
