Is it possible to assign an alternate %USERPATH%?(This is the ~user/.unidata/idv/<Application name> directory that gets created for each user. Note: the "Application name" is usually "DefaultIdv")
Running the IDV in support of a web tool, the IDV is run by user Apache which tries to create /var/www/.unidata/idv/DefaultIdv which is an odd place to put the IDV files since it could be visible online.
