Re: IDV problem

Hi Stuart-

I was just trying to run IDV via web start. I see that it is now at version 2.1. I wanted to check the functionality of the 'range and bearing tool'. In the User's Guide window, I typed 'range' and hit return. I get a stack trace in the Java console. Any ideas? Is a jar missing from the classpath?

The search capability in the IDV 2.1 release is broken. The indexer
did not get run when the release was created. I've updated
the webstart release so the next time you run webstart you should get
the new auxdata.jar.

Currently, we don't have a good way of updating the installers, so
I also placed a copy of auxdata.jar under the IDV downloads section
of the Unidata web site. Feel free to update your installation by
downloading auxdata.jar and replacing the version in the installation

Thanks for finding this, Stuart.

Here is the message that prints out when you try to search without
the fix.
